The only way you can really plan for the future is to look, discerningly, at what happened in the past.

The past often DOES tell us about the future. But entrepreneurs and businesspeople in general, don't seem to grasp that when it comes to planning, investing, buying, selling.

We get overly optimistic when the economy is booming. And overly pessimistic when the economy it's sliding downhill.

And both can lead to catastrophic losses and bankruptcy.
