When I hear that phrase…"Hold up! Say that again…"
…I know something BIG has just happened.
- Someone who has deep insight into a particular problem or industry or challenge, says something that they believe is not particularly earth shattering…because they have been working on, thinking about, studying, and fixing that problem…for years.
They not only have their "10,000 hours" working on that problem…they have maybe 50,000 hours…100,000 hours. The comment they just made seems like common sense to THEM. "Doesn't everybody know this?
- But another person in the room…someone who does not have their 10,000 hours in that field…and HAS a big problem they need fixed…goes
"Whoa! That's it! That's the solution I need!!"
