Mel, You know me. I'm the 80/20 guy. The very last thing I ever want to do is give someone MORE work to clutter their plate and make their life more hectic and distracted. How to free up 200 hours a year

Mel, In 2019 we hosted Perry Marshall Live in Prague, Czech Republic. Prague is a fantastic and beautiful city. While we were there, I visited the Franz Kafka museum. Kafka was a legendary novelist, a towering figure of 20th century literature. But Kafka was unable to earn a living from his novels. Kafka's day job was legal work for an insurance company. Several displays at the museum featured laments about his miserable career. And many of his novels deal with the soul-crushing absurdity of pointless and endless bureaucracy. The tension between making a living and doing meaningful work is NOT a new problem; it is as old as dirt. Everyone who has dreams has to pay the bills. The only thing that's new is that for hundreds of millions of modern people, living a meaningful life and achieving our dearest dreams seems almost within our grasp. …Which is why the world is dripping with trite advice like "Do what you love and the money will follow" and "follow your passion" and "if you do what you enjoy you'll never work a day in your life." Most of the time, if you "do what you love," the money will disappear. Yet at the same time, the world is also full of business books and formulas that reduce the world to tactics, strategies, systems and processes and spreadsheets. Those systems and formulas can be equally trite. The REAL reason we apply 80/20, build Star businesses, and engineer our lives to earn $1,000 and $10,000 an hour is so we can do our Real Work. If you said to me, "Perry, I'm serious about my Real Work. I'm ready to stop screwing around. I'll do anything you say for the next 3 years," we would start RIGHT HERE. We stop squandering time. We build your Road to Freedom. Then doing your Real Work naturally follows. I and many students and clients are busily and deeply engaged in our Real Work.
