The “getting things done” advice holding you back from creating leverage

Have you heard of "Getting Things Done," Mel?

At an extremely basic level, it's a productivity philosophy that states that the primary bottleneck to getting more accomplished comes down to organization, and that by better breaking down and organizing your tasks...you can accomplish more in your life..

Getting Things Done has really gained traction over the years (influencing most of the productivity advice out there), and as a result it's led hundreds of thousands of people to believe that the reason they are not accomplishing their goals and getting the results they want is because they simply don't have a productivity system that is organized correctly.

This couldn't be further from the truth.

You see, the fatal flaw with Getting Things Done is that it assumes all tasks will have an equal impact on your goals.

But what we know for certain through the 80/20 rule, is that just one out of every 5 tasks on our to do list will achieve 80% of the results we're trying to achieve.

Which means in most cases, we can accomplish our goals by eliminating 80% of the things we think we need to do.

It's addition by subtraction.

Contrast this with most people who have their days scheduled to the max with meetings, emails, and other day-to-day minutiae…

...Who are then convinced that the only way they can make progress towards their priorities is to "better organize" their to do lists and add still more tasks to their plate?

It's no wonder the average entrepreneur accomplishes very little (if anything) in a given day.

There's a better way, Mel.

A way that involves getting crystal clear on what you're actually trying to accomplish in your life (and what is actually important to you)...

And then ruthlessly cutting out everything that doesn't lead directly to that desired outcome.

The end result?

Becoming crystal clear on your most important priorities, and building a step-by-step execution plan to make consistent, meaningful progress towards your goals.

And I'm going to show you how to do all of this in my all-new Detox, Declutter, and Dominate Challenge on Monday, October 19th.

You can sign up for the challenge at no cost at this link.

If you're an entrepreneur (or entrepreneur at heart) who has felt "stuck" the last few months…

And feel like you're caught in a riptide of tasks, calls, and emails... fighting with everything you have to just not lose ground and drown in it all…

This challenge is specifically for you.

Save your seat at the link above, and I look forward to seeing you in the Challenge community.
