Mel,
I understand that we are very much "inside the jar" of AI right now.
What I mean is things are happening so fast, and we are so deep inside it, and it's so early in the revolution…that it's hard to (fill in the cliche...see the forest for the trees, read the label from inside the jar, etc).
But here's what I believe SHOULD happen in every business that implements AI solutions:
When you give your customers a "lightning machine" it should make them want more "lichen moments."
The lightning machine is the AI/GPT/Chatbot, etc. that makes things much faster, easier, cheaper and more of a joy to use. AI as Simplify.
The "lichen moments" are the things that are more human and valuable than what AI can deliver.
Lichen moments are in-person, intensely customized, human experiences that often involve sharing meals, bottom of the swamp conversations, and "artistic" moments that AI cannot duplicate.
The deep human stuff.
Here's our version of this…
At Equity 2.0 and the London AI Lab, Scott Schang introduced Moat Mapper GPT.
This "lightning machine" enabled everyone to quickly assess where and how their business was susceptible to the AI steamroller.
In a matter of minutes, it allowed them to start mapping out a customized survival and thrival strategy for their business.
Question: So, now that they have that, why would they need me? Or McGee? Or Scott? Or Josh?
Well, let me tell you about Matt and Roberto and Amanda and Brandon and Nicole and Raphael and Phil and Thorsten.
They all joined Roundtable Accelerator after using the Moat Mapper.
Thorsten flew all the way from Germany. Raphael and Nicole flew literally HALF WAY AROUND THE WORLD to be in Chicago for the first in-person meeting.
The lightning machine didn't make them want to fly solo. It made them crave what we call "lichen stuff" – real meetings with real people, human conversations, collaborative thinking.
Why does this happen?
When AI handles the light-speed work – data analysis, pattern recognition, first-draft strategies – it frees your mind and calendar (and bank account) for the deep, slow, human work that actually matters.
The thinking that can't be automated.
The conversations that spark insights.
The collaborative breakthroughs that emerge when prepared minds meet in physical space.
There is a version of this for your business as well.
As you provide the lightning machine, are you offering lichen moments as well? Offering one without the other is fraught with peril.
In Orlando October 8-10 we will give you both.
The lightning: Moat Mapper analysis, Genius Flip insights, and Deep Research strategies. AI that thinks like you and understands your business at a level that's almost unsettling.
The lichen: Motivated entrepreneurs in the same room for three days. The conversations you can't schedule. The insights that emerge from collective intelligence. The human connections that turn into partnerships, collaborations, and friendships.
The unpredictably productive magic.
Most AI training gives you tools and sends you home to figure it out alone.
We give you tools AND community.
Because the future belongs to people who master both speeds.
By the way, Matt and Roberto's seven-figure call center business has "10, 20, 30X growth" written all over it.
Brandon and Amanda went from "crayon drawings" to "respectable paintings" and are "red-hot right now."
Raphael and Nicole tripled their prices and made their business more profitable.
Phil has so much business he can't accept it all.
And we did several emails on the smoking hot start Thorsten got off to a few weeks ago!
They all understand the power of working at both speeds.

Seize the speeds,
Perry
