The Federal Communications Commission is highly involved in how wireless broadband networks will operate in the 21st century, now that it has formed the Technology Transitions Policy Task Force. Goals include ensuring "that our nation's communications policies continue to drive a virtuous cycle of innovation and investment, promote competition, and protect consumers."
