News organizations infringed on photographer's copyright of tweeted image
Beware media outlets: all that is published on Twitter is apparently not public domain. A U.S. District Court judge recently ruled that The Washington Post and Agence France-Presse violated copyright law by publishing images that photographer Daniel Morel posted on his Twitter account. "[T]he judge said that Twitter's terms of service did not give the news agency a license to publish the images without Morel's permission."
