Mel,   I have a friend named Pete. Copywriter; marketer; all-around problem solver.   A sports trainer hired Pete to ghost write and promote his new book. Pete just got this 'Dear John' email from his client: "Several months ago we invested significantly in a partner who uses AI and created our own language model... downloading everything I have ever written since 1999. Plus anything else I wanted to have from other people from religion to sports to science to research.   "It has been nothing short of incredible... it cuts my work into about 20% of its previous. It obviously knows my voice because it IS my voice and it edits and allows us to create multiple versions ... combine them at times ... and allows us to choose which version is preferred   "I call it the 10-80-10 rule >> I spend 10% creating... then we turn it over to our language model for editing - adding - deleting for 80% and then the final 10% is on us.   "So... We do not need traditional editing. I understand that may be an unexpected change and possibly cause you to choose another route. For that I do apologize... but I simply do not have a need for editing going forward.   "Thanks and good luck." AI just ate Pete's lunch. Ripped into his picnic basket like a famished bear.   It's preparing a feast for Pete's client.   One of my own clients has 3X'd writing, content creation and customer service.
