Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold

Mel,

"Heck yeah, I'd pay you $500 to spare me from that torture."

For what was my boss prepared to pay me the princely sum of $500?

Writing an article.

Within a few months of saving him from this "torture", I had ...

supplemented my income with a few thousand dollars,
written 20 or 30 articles that were published in trade magazines,
garnered huge publicity for our tiny company,

and, best of all, I had made myself a "celebrity" within our niche...to the point that prospects were calling to talk to the "Famous Perry".

How did I do this?

By following the advice of the old nursery rhyme...

Peas porridge hot,
Peas porridge cold,
Peas porridge in the pot
Nine days old...
