Mel,
Laura and I were 25. No kids yet. We were driving our red 2-door Honda Civic west on Interstate 70 near Kansas City. Laura was in the passenger seat.
I was passing an 18-wheeler on the right, which you're not supposed to do.
The truck suddenly merged from the left lane to right, charging into my space. The truck's right front tire treads rubbed violently against the left rear corner of my bumper.
Two inches further and you would have never heard of me.
That near-death experience perfectly illustrates what happens when entrepreneurs tangle with Private Equity and Venture Capital firms.
Except there's rarely a caring, conscientious driver at the wheel – just remorseless algorithmic Robo-Machines run by 25-year-old MBAs.
Every quarter, I watch one client exit with a 7-, 8-, or 9-figure payday... and another get crushed by the 18-wheeler of predatory finance.
The difference isn't just in the numbers. It starts in your head.
Join me Thursday for a special presentation:
"The Equity Mindset: How to Think, Act and Negotiate Like an 8-Figure Exit Owner"
Here's what I'm going to cover…
- The extreme leverage that exists at the investor level (that most operators never see)
- How to overcome the psychological barriers holding you back
- The critical mindset shifts that separate successful exits from tragic ones
- Why most business sales are forced (and how to ensure yours isn't)
If you have any intention of selling (or even raising money for) your business in the next 1-5 years, you need to be there.

Seize the day,
Perry
