The Perry Marshall Minute: The $500 Dinner that Might Cure Cancer

Be the connector in your industry

Mel,

In my next New Renaissance newsletter I talk about an inexpensive strategy that I employ as often as I can.

I call it the Interdisciplinary Stir Fry.

All you do is gather a bunch of interesting people and put them together in a room.

It could just be dinner. It could be a cocktail party. It could be a workshop. It could be a brainstorming session. Whatever works for you.

I hosted a small version of this three years ago at Oxford University. There were only about six or seven people at that one – that was as many as I could gather at the time.

But I have a feeling that it wasn't sheer coincidence that a month later I got invited to make my Evolution 2.0 prize announcement at the Royal Society.

Which eventually led to the Cancer and Evolution Symposium. Which eventually led to the formation of Science Research 2.0 which is funding research that might actually cure cancer.

I'm not exaggerating.

BIG things happen...for you and the world...when you connect interesting people.

Be the connector in your industry.

In my next New Renaissance newsletter I'll show you how.

Even if you don't think you're interesting!

Even if you don't think you know many interesting people.

It's a hundred-thousand-dollar if not million-dollar strategy.

Start stirring!

Seize the day, Perry
